Engineered to smoothly slice through bread, the Dexter Russell S63-9SC-PCP Traditional™ slicer knife has a scalloped edge that can withstand tough crusts, and its offset structure helps prevent the users’ knuckles from knocking against a cutting board. Constructed of DEXSTEEL™—high-carbon, high-alloy stainless steel—it won’t corrode or stain to maintain its initial appearance over time. The 9-inch blade stays intact with the handle with two brass rivets, and this rosewood handle is comfortable to grip for high-volume use.

"The first one I brought, I used for skinning blow fish and fileting fish. It was assume at that function. I know, it's a bread knife. I then brought another for cutting bread and found it to be great. I've subsequently purchased and gave them as gifts to friends. Fileting fish or bread knife :-)"
