When operators push down on the ergonomic handle, it pushes the polymer block down on the stainless steel blades, which are sharp and designed to create clean, even cuts in a single stroke. Because the handle is weighted, it can be pushed down without much strain. The Nemco 55500-3 food chopper is made of stainless steel and cast aluminum so it is durable for heavy use, but it still has a lightweight design that enables it to be moved around the kitchen to different prep stations.
