The San Jamar SLK16 sleeve protects the wearer’s forearm while they are reaching over steam and during other inadvertent contact with hot temperatures. It provides heat protection for 15 seconds up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Made of durable Kevlar®, the sleeve is durable for heavy-duty applications. The San Jamar SLK16 sleeve is machine washable, making cleanup easy.

Anti Burn sleves

I bought these because of recent burns in the kitchen because of steams or edge of a hot skillet. I haven't attempted to burn or steam myself with the sleeves . Only concern is the are itchy to wear.
