Good for perfecting portion sizes for recipes, the San Jamar SCDG15BK Escali digital scale has a smooth glass surface that can measure as much as 15 pounds. This tool measures liquid ingredients in fluid ounces and milliliters and dry ingredients in grams, ounces, and pounds. It includes a screen with touch-sensitive controls, and it has a display hold option that keeps the weight on the screen for a longer period. The tare feature enables the user to reset the scale to zero for back-to-back weighing or re-weighing foods. To save energy, it automatically shuts off. Measuring 6 1⁄2 inches wide by 9 inches deep by 3⁄4 inch high, this unit comes with two lithium batteries for immediate use.
