Star GX14IG Description
To increase its overall durability, the Star GX14IG Grill Express™ commercial panini press has cast iron, grooved platens that can cook sandwiches, quesadillas, chicken, steak, and more. The platens can be switched out for smooth ones, depending on the application, and operators control the temperature with a thermostat ranging from 175 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Constructed of stainless steel, its body is durable, while its handle is heat resistant. The top uses a hinge system for safe operation, and it can accommodate 3-inch-thick product. Around the bottom platen, a 3⁄4-inch splash guard contains product and protects users from grease spills. A water-resistant, heavy-gauge conduit protects electrical connections to the top plate, and cleaning the unit is straightforward because it comes with a removable grease trough.
