This manual decanter is unplumbed for compatibility with businesses that don't have a direct water line hook-up. Operators can pour water into its front-fill water reservoir when they want to brew a batch of coffee, and a side water level window displays the amount of water poured into the unit. The Hamilton Beach HDC500DS coffee maker is simple to operate. After adding the desired water amount and inserting a filter and coffee grounds into the swing-out brew basket, operators can flip the "on" switch to start brewing.
