Good although not the best
Checking temperatures of fish and chicken at Long John silver's the battery runs low fast also would be convenient if it had a way to turn off the thermometer when you're done using it that way the battery doesn't run dead so fast maybe I don't know how to do it I'm doing it wrong let me know I can't turn it off

Needs calibration
As others have stated why display the word off it just drains battery. Today I changed the battery and now the display reads -43.2 C in my living room. When I touch the probe end thinking my body temp would raise the temp the temp drops to -45.6 C

Convenient, easy-to-use must have!
Love this little thermometer. Took the guesswork out of hot spots in an aging, unreliable oven. Easy to use, convenient, fits in my pocket for carrying around the commissary kitchen. I wish I would have bought it sooner!

Excellent Timer; Good Price
This is a well-made product which is reasonably priced. It is marketed by Fluke which is a manufacturer of high end electronic test equipment. Most similar timers are junk and many use "coin" batteries which are very costly and do not last. This unit uses standard AAA batteries which are cheap and long-lasting. Katom Restaurant Supply is a reliable supplier and I recommend them highly.

Comark PDT300
We have been using these for years. It seems the quality has declined in the past year. We have a high number of failures; probes coming out, poor battery life, total failures. Unfortunately the Comark PDT300 is what we have approved for our manufacturing facility and to change requires a "Process Change Request", submitted it triplicate,followed by weeks/months of testing to confirm a new process.

i would buy this product again
i like the attachments that came with this meter but the probe connections could be snugger when checking temperatures on a deep fryer you definitely want to hold on to the probe it can come loose.

I use this to check the oil tempertaure in my deep fryer. I cook many diffrent things and I prefer to adjust the tempertaure to what the package states as the recomended frying tempertaure.
