True STA Models are Game Changers
True Refrigeration has offered its premium spec series for years, with a model line that is even more durable and even more reliable than its other high-quality commercial refrigerators and commercial freezers. The only limiting feature about spec series models were their price tags, which were typically several thousand dollars higher than the comparable T Series model.
That’s why we’re so excited to introduce True STA refrigerators, a new entry in the spec series. These units bring many of the advantages of those high-end models, like durable stainless steel construction and deeper cabinets. Still, pricing is just 5 percent more than the comparable T Series unit.
Heavy-duty Refrigeration, Lighter Price
In the past, everyone from the person starting a small bakery to the government buyer was likely to drool over spec series models. They offer more durable construction, deeper cabinets, and easy-to-read digital exterior temperature displays. The pricing meant the latter candidate, the one spending public money, was more likely to actually purchase one of these units.
With the introduction of the STA models of reach-in refrigerators and freezers, True has changed the game. These models include an entirely new, state-of-the-art refrigeration system that pair oversized condensing units that hold temperatures of 33-38 degrees even in busy kitchens with everything True has learned about making energy-efficient cooling systems. That means you get the temperatures you need while keeping your power bills lower.
Those specially-designed condensers are mounted on top of each unit in the STA Series, which means their cabinets can be a full 5 inches deeper. That allows more room for airflow in the cabinet, which is critical to keeping a steady, safe temperature inside. With more depth, these units can even be loaded with dozens of sheet pans and still maintain the necessary safe holding temperatures.
Aiding in the effort to improve the airflow, True has developed another new system that sends those cold currents around the sides of the cabinet. In the process, it flows directly over, under, and around each shelf.
These models also have stainless steel fronts and doors, which offer added durability for the most ding-likely parts of the exterior. Inside, the door liners, floor, and ceilings are all constructed of stainless steel. The rest of the cabinet is built with heavy-duty aluminum that also offers corrosion resistance.
You get all that in a reach-in refrigerator or freezer that costs a mere 5 percent over the T Series model. That makes more versatile and durable STA commercial refrigeration accessible to a wide range of commercial kitchens.
