The Waring Ellipse™ Blending System

Pushing Innovation
Waring introduced its first blender in 1937 and has continued to revolutionize the industry with its innovative designs ever since. In 1955, Dr. Jonas Salk used a Waring dispersal blender to help create the polio vaccine, and today, Waring continues to push its limits with the development of the MXE2000 Ellipse blender. This unique design's independent dual-motor system and focus on top-down blending helps foodservice operations reduce time and labor, maximizing both output and profits while cutting down on food waste.
What Sets the Ellipse Apart?
Unlike traditional blenders that feature a motor in the bottom of the machine, the Ellipse unit features a dual-motor design. Along with the traditional motor, the lithium-powered battery drive attaches to the top of the jar, where it powers the dasher system. This system comprises the lid and two scrapers, which are powered by the drive. The rotation of these scrapers forces product down, eliminating the need for a tamper and ensuring no product is left on the side of the jar. This design also helps eliminate air pockets for a consistent blend in less time. The dashers work with the cylindrical jar construction for a smooth rotation that ensures product is forced back down, limiting waste. With this configuration, the Ellipse can produce velvety smoothies in as little as 10 seconds and acai bowls in as little as 15 seconds.
What's Included with the Ellipse Blender?
Numerous accessories for easing the blending process or tailoring the unit to your specific needs are available. However, everything you need to start operation immediately is included with the unit, including:
- The Jar: This 32-ounce-capacity jar is made of heavy-duty, BPA-free co-polyester for a durable design built to withstand the rigors of a commercial kitchen. A stainless steel blade assembly, designed to smoothly power through any ingredients added to the jar, is located at the bottom.
- The Base: The Ellipse unit's base houses the high-speed 31/2 horsepower motor, which is designed to run the unit at 30,000 RPMs. It houses a backlight LCD screen you can use to program four beverage settings to ensure commonly made beverages can be blended at the push of a button. The base also features a pulse setting with reprogrammable speed control.
- The Drive: This system is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack designed to be attached to the top of the jar, where it controls the dashers. This motor can produce more than 1,000 smoothies in a single charge, and it also features infrared technology that activates automatically when it’s locked into place and the sound enclosure is fastened. A docking station, which can be placed in any direction under the base to conveniently store the motor when it’s not in use, is included with the drive.
- Charging Station: This dock can be used to charge the drive in less than 2 hours, so the drive can be plugged in at the close of business and reliably be ready the next day. A light flashes red, yellow, or green to indicate the battery level, and a solid green light indicates the battery is fully charged. A charging station with as many as three docks can be purchased separately for operations with multiple units.
- Dasher System: Powered by the drive, this snap-in dasher system comprises two prongs that rotate 360 degrees and are designed to scrape the walls of the container with each revolution. This design forces all ingredients down toward the blade without the use of the tamper, creating a consistent, smooth blend without any air pockets. It also scrapes off excess splatter from the sides, maximizing your ingredients and limiting product waste.
- Sound Enclosure: So the unit can be run front of house without disturbing guests, the Ellipse blender comes with a sound enclosure that helps to limit the noise the machine makes. This enclosure also includes a jar pad and adapter ring that help to keep liquid out of the unit, easing cleaning after use.
