Southbend SCX-10S-6-10 Description
The Southbend SCX-10S-6-10 convection steamer and kettles has a 60-inches-wide, stainless steel base for support. The 6-gallon kettle and 10-gallon kettle can be used to cook soups, stews, and sauces. The deck-mounted faucet valve and integral sink with swing nozzle can be used to fill a kettle and wash product before placement.
The stainless steel steamer has two compartments, each with a capacity for five 12-inch by 20-inch food pans, and the doors have a positive lock and seal mechanism to prevent tampering. The drip trough is connected to a drain, and condensate is gathered in the trough when the steamer's doors are opened.
The Southbend SCX-10S-6-10 10-pan convection steamer and kettle houses the steam coil boiler—which makes steaming possible—in its base. The unit automatically blows down the boiler to ensure smooth operation. The water line is split, and the boiler operates from 9 to 11 PSI. Boiler controls are included for monitoring and adjusting the pressure and water levels. The base is kept level by four stainless steel, adjustable legs that are fitted with front bullet feet and rear flanged feet.
