This Merrychef e5 eikon® high-speed oven combines microwave and convection heating technologies to cook foods five times faster than conventional cooking methods for high-traffic restaurants, bars, hotels, and catering businesses. To accommodate a wide product range, operators can adjust microwave settings between 5 and 100 percent in 1-percent increments, while the convected heat system's temperature can be manipulated from 212 to 482 degrees Fahrenheit in 33.8-degree-Fahrenheit adjustments. The microwave system monitors overheating detection for magnetrons, and the convected heat safety system alerts operators when the oven cavity overheats.

The Merrychef e5 convection and microwave oven's two-thirds gastronorm cavity accommodates bake-off applications and large, multi-portion dishes, while its two vitreous enamel oven trays provide two rack positions. The easyTouch&Reg; touchscreen enables users to input six stages with specific microwave power and time settings. Because it's icon-driven, it can eliminate language barriers among employees to streamline operation. The included USB memory stick can be used to upload and download 1,024 cooking profiles, which can help save preparation time for specific recipes, and to prevent costly service calls, a built-in diagnostic system alerts operators when mechanical and operational issues arise.

This countertop unit measures 28 inches wide by 27.8 inches deep by 25.3 inches high and has a ventless cooking capability to simplify installation.
