The Hobart LXER-2 undercounter dishwasher is a high-temp machine that uses water heated to a high temperature to sanitize dishes. On the normal setting, up to 24 racks can be cleaned per hour. Each rack uses 0.62 gallons of water for the entire wash and rinse cycle. Two dishracks come with this washer: a peg and a combo type. 10-inch-by-20-inch pans, 20-inch-by-20-inch pans, and 16-inch-by-18-inch cafeteria trays will fit in this dishwasher.

With its Smart Display, the Hobart LXER-2 undercounter dishwasher informs the operator of important errors and maintenance requirements. A built-in booster heater uses Sense-A-Temp™ to increase the temperature of incoming water from 55 degrees Fahrenheit all the way to a minimum of 180 degrees Fahrenheit. A special feature known as Energy Recovery takes heat energy from the condensation that is produced in the chamber at the end of each cycle and uses it to pre-heat the water for the next rinse cycle. Part of Energy Recovery, Steam Elimination reduces the amount of steam that is released when the door is opened.
