Globe G12A Description

The Globe 12A automatic slicer is designed for medium-duty use—it can be used safely for four hours a day, and half of that time can be used for slicing cheese. If the motor is strained, its overload protection system shuts it off. Users know when the unit is on or off with the power indicator light.

Pyramid gripping teeth on the Globe 12A slicer enable users to control large products during processing. Food is fed through the ball-bearing chute slide and is sliced by a large, hard-chromed blade with a 12-inch diameter. The blade's edge is protected by a permanently installed knife cover. If the knife edge is exposed, the unit won't power on.

  • 12-in. knife is made of a hard-chromed special alloy
  • Maximum slice thickness: 1⁄2 in.
  • Automatic operation
  • Extended chute and end weight accommodate foods as tall as 10 1⁄2 in.
  • Pyramid end weight teeth and gripping teeth hold products securely
  • Sharpener is mounted on the top
  • Ball bearing chute slide
  • Knife ring guard is attached permanently
  • Knife cover knob expedites installation and removal
  • Knife cover interlock prevents operation when the knife is exposed
  • Automatic, independent chute is positioned at a 35-degree angle

  • Slice deflector can be removed
  • Power indicator light shows users the unit is powered on

DO NOT BUY

Does not work! Very disappointing to spend money on equipment that has obviously never been used by someone in the field. Blade is sharp and cuts nicely, but it grabs the things you are slicing and slings them, or wads them up in the little guard thing. The carriage is not tilted enough, so the meat does not return when the carriage pulls back after a slice. This means that it is not an automatic slicer. The end weight doesn't get out of the way so almost every new deli item wont even fit in the chute. Simply horrible.
