Equipped with a clear, double-pane thermal glass door, the True GDM-26-HC~TSL01-SS merchandiser refrigerator works well for front-of-house or back-of-house applications because users have a direct view into the unit. Designed to maintain temperatures from 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, its door self-closes using a positive seal, torsion-type closure mechanism to ensure cold air doesn't escape. The cabinet is insulated with foamed-in-place polyurethane, and the unit uses a self-contained capillary tube system with an R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Its evaporator and condenser fan motor are electronically commutated, and the condensing unit is easy to access since it's mounted on the bottom of the unit. When the compressor turns on, the fan motor directs air in a reverse direction, blowing off dirt and dust buildup from the condensing coil so it can operate more efficiently and for longer periods. However, this shouldn't replace general maintenance for the coil.
