Its capillary tube system uses environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to stay cold. To save energy and reduce heat production, the evaporator and condenser fans move a consistent volume of air. While the evaporator's epoxy coating adds rust protection, the condensing unit’s bottom-mounted placement simplifies servicing.

For the first 20 seconds after the compressor is started, the condensing fan motor reverses to blow dirt and debris off the condensing coil. This is a self-cleaning feature, however, employees should still perform routine maintenance for best results.
