True Refrigeration CVM-13-HC~EGC01 Description
Ideal for stylish locations, the True Refrigeration CVM-13-HC~EGC01 BLK refrigerated merchandiser features a black powder-coated steel form with curved corners that help the unit draw the attention of patrons. To match the sleek design, the handle is built-into the side of the glass door, and its location illuminated. The door is made of Low-E double paned thermal insulated glass—designed to prevent condensation from accumulating—and the frame is made of black-coated steel.
The refrigeration unit of the True Refrigeration CVM-13-HC~EGC01 BLK one-section merchandiser is self-contained for easy maintenance access, and it operates independently using R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. The interior of the cabinet is fitted with five PV-coated shelves that are lit with LED interior lighting; this space is also powdered black to match the exterior.

Cooler is very attractive but...
New design for True and there are some things that they need to change. Had I have realized this before buying I would not have purchased. My biggest complaint is that they put a digital thermostat on THE BACK of the cooler. How can you tell what is going on inside the cooler if the digital readout is in the back. I have a concession trailer and had put the new cooler in and bolted it to the floor before I realized that. I had not plugged it into until I had installed it so you can imagine my surprise when I did and then opened the door looking for the dial to set the temperature. No dial. I had already looked at the manual before installing but it is like so many other manuals now that it shows a variety of coolers and all the different kinds of features for all of them. It did not specifically point out that I had one with the digital and it was in the BACK. I have had other coolers with a digital readout but they are in the front so if the temp alarm goes off you can get to it. So I contacted True and they were able to tell me which digital one I had...there are multiple versions that all sort of look alike... and how to set it. Problem #2. This door goes all the way to the floor so if you have a mat that is front if this the door is not going to clear it. so now I had to put up on 3/4" plywood to clear it. Do not want to bolt it to the floor again in case I have to get to the back of it. So now needing to find a way to keep it in place. It is on the rear of the trailer which takes more bumping than if it were on the front. Also the door did not come pretensioned for the self closing. So had to do that. Now the good points. I was able to order this with left hand hinges and get it immediately which I needed to replace another cooler. This makes it so much easier to access for the person standing near it. It gives me a little more storage space than my other GDM-12 since it is a 13 cu ft.

We're sorry to hear that the new design created so many unexpected challenges, especially with the thermostat placement and the door clearance. That kind of surprise after installation is frustrating, and we understand how tricky it can be when manuals aren't model-specific.
