The 3M Cuno CFS9720-S retrofit replacement cartridge has a premium-graded density prefilter with granular that's designed to reduce sediment in water. Without this particulate, equipment will run efficiently and won't form buildup on the internal components. The prefilter also reduces the smell and odor of chlorine and helps prevent scale from forming. It has a 5 micron rating and a flow rate of 1.5 gallons per minute.
