The black exterior can blend with various equipment setups and help conceal the appearance of wear. The side panels are constructed of moisture-resistant tempered glass and are field replaceable; the interior is constructed of stainless steel to provide durability and resistance to corrosion. The interior back wall is perforated to promote proper airflow. The cabinet is supported with 5-inch swivel casters, which permit employees to easily clean around and underneath the cabinet.

To protect against impacts from shopping carts, the Everest Refrigeration EOMV-48-B-28-T open-air merchandiser has a stainless steel bumper belt mounted to the front side. The cabinet is insulated with 2-inch-thick polyurethane foam for temperature retention. This unit is designed with four stainless steel shelves that can be positioned as flat or at a slight 10-degree downward angle.
