With its four growing zones, the Carter-Hoffmann GC41 GardenChef® herb and microgreen growing cabinet accommodates eight 10-inch by 20-inch flats. Each zone includes a removable growing shelf that is secured on rollers so it can be pulled out for loading and retrieving. The integrated touchscreen controls feature pre-programmed default settings to optimize growth for common herbs and microgreens; however, operators can program temperature, humidity, and watering and lighting cycles as needed. All zones have two high-output T5 fluorescent growing lights and an automatic pump irrigation system with flood and drain watering. For versatility, this unit has 40 programmable seed settings, and operators can grow product in potting soil or hydroponic media.

The Carter-Hoffmann GC41 growing cabinet's reach-in layout grants direct product access. Because the door is glass, users don't have to open the door frequently when checking inventory, minimizing disruptions to the cabinet's interior environment. Made of stainless steel, the unit resists rust and corrosion while withstanding heavy use. Though it measures 37¹⁄₂ inches wide by 28¹⁄₄ inches deep by 79 inches high, it can be moved as needed since it’s secured on 3-inch-diameter casters that swivel and brake.
