With its large, eight-quart capacity, the KitchenAid KSM8990ER planetary mixer can mix or knead as many as thirteen dozen cookies at once. To ensure safe operation, its speed control protection system reduces the risk of accidentally turning on the mixer while cleaning. For convenient cleanup, the beater, dough hook, and wire whip agitators are all dishwasher safe.

Best tool in the kitchen!
If you need a countertop stand mixer, this is THE ONE! 8Q bowl is big enough for mixing smaller amounts, KitchenAid heavy duty motor gets through the heaviest doughs and all attachments fit (even if they're not commercial). It's a workhorse in our kitchen and looks great, too!

I love to bake and actually work at a bakery part-time. I am pretty much the family baker and found I was in need of a larger mixer with power and speed. This one is perfect. I will be looking for more accessories for it soon.

I have a 5Q & 7Q viking and very pleased they work, but once I got this 8Q kitchenmaid is like, wow what was I missing until now...LOOOOVE IT!!! its very quiet and works great. price was excellent and delivery on time...thank you guys n keep doing a great job!
Commercial version is worth the extra $$
Just received my mixer in beautiful Empire Red. I turned it on and was impressed with how quiet it is compared to 6QT non-commercial version. HUGE difference!!! I would pay the extra money for that alone. Like the premium stainless heavy duty attachments also. It seems not much difference in size as my Professional 600 series 6 quart model. Looks like will fit on counter under my cabinets. I am hoping the Commercial model will hold up over time to double batches of cookie dough. The Pro 600 broke after 4-5 years using for 2 months out of the year. I don't think the regular household models can hold up to big batches of dough no matter how many quarts it says it can hold.

I would recommend this product again and again. The product speaks for itself. The service that katom offered was excellent and price was unbeatable! I will only purchase future kitchen products from katom!

A Dream Come True!
I finally decided to purchase the KitchenAid Commercial 7 Qt mixer and then I found the 8 Qt equivalent. The mixer is everything I was looking for and much more. I love the slow start-up on the speeds so that you are less likely to fling the ingredients out of the bowl. It is quieter than my 25 year old KitchenAid and it isn't much bigger, so it doesn't take up much more space on the counter. The first test drive produced 138 chocolate chip cookies in one mixing! KaTom's service was awesome - from my online chat about a few questions, to the speed in which they shipped the product. Couldn't be happier!
