Designed for long-term use, the Hoshizaki UR48B-01 two-section refrigerator provides 12 cubic feet of cold storage space beneath foodservice countertops. It’s constructed of durable stainless steel—a corrosion-resistant material—which extends from its interior and exterior front, top, and sides to its double doors. These doors are field reversible to fit any layout and incorporate stay-open and self-closing features to assist staff members. Two extruded aluminum handles grant access to the refrigerated cabinet, which is equipped with an adjustable shelf in each section. Additionally, the refrigerator sits on four 4-inch casters to enable smooth mobility as needed.

The Hoshizaki UR48B-01 cold storage unit maintains temperatures between 32 and 52 degrees Fahrenheit with a developed air circulation system and self-contained refrigeration. Located at the rear, the refrigeration compartment features an evaporator with an enamel-coated coil to initiate hot gas condensate removal and travelling R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant that dispels hot air. When the air inside is appropriate to the temperature range, the circulation system works to evenly disperse cold air through the body. Considering this unit tends to build ice, it’s programmed with off-cycle defrosts to restrict refrigerant and protect performance.
