Hoshizaki KM-81BAK Description
The Hoshizaki KM-81BAK undercounter crescent cube ice maker can produce 78 pounds of ice daily. It has a compact footprint and low profile to save space in crowded kitchens and service areas. A front-breathing airflow system enables this unit to be installed with reduced side and rear clearances, and the slide-in door doesn't obstruct the area in front of the machine when opened. Its EverCheck™ alert system simplifies routine maintenance and the air filter is removable from the front for servicing.
With 1.3 cubic feet of storage capacity, the Hoshizaki KM-81BAK crescent cube commercial ice machine can keep 38 pounds of premade ice chilled and ready to serve, suiting it for many establishments. The included ice scoop features H-GUARD Plus antimicrobial agent, promoting sanitary machine operation and reducing cross-contamination. This ice maker is made of stainless steel, giving it excellent rust defense—an important feature for appliances regularly exposed to water.

We waited a long time for this and it is so worth it!
We used to buy a bag of "good ice" every few days to make drinks, fill water bottles, etc. I figured we were spending about $10/week on "good ice." Having an ice machine is so nice! We even bought some 10lbs bags and have bagged a few to keep in the freezer for on the go and in case the power goes out. Our kids love it. We are a family of four and this is the perfect size for us! Highly, highly, highly recommend!

A year ago I Bought this ice maker. It was for my summer house. It is amazing how fast it makes ice! We get plenty of ice for the coolers going to the beach for the day and more than enough for drinks at night. It is also< I think the most efficient one on the market at the size range. It is a little louder than my last one but in a bar it's great.
