Wells SS-8D Description
The Wells SS-8D food warmer's powerful tubular heating elements can keep 7 quarts of prepared soup, stew, chili, or sauce at safe serving temperatures for hours. These quick-heating elements disperse warmth evenly to prevent hot and cold spots from forming. Its infinite control eliminates the need for operators to know specific holding temperatures, and when preset temperatures are reached, its correlating indicator light glows. To prevent accidental adjustments, a guard ring protects the control, and high-limit temperature settings reduce the risk of overheating. This unit can be used with or without water.
A top-mount, built-in unit, this Wells SS-8D circular food warmer measures 10 1⁄16 inches in diameter by 8 3⁄4 inches high—made of durable, uninsulated, rust- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel. This unit can be installed in a 9-inch-diameter cutout and comes with Wellslok tabs to ease and quicken installation. To match the well, the control panel fits a 1 7⁄8-inch-wide by 3 7⁄16-inch-tall cutout. For simple cleanup, the well and flange can be wiped down quickly, while a 1⁄2-inch NPT drain is integrated into its base.
