It can make as much as 80 pounds of ice per day; it makes full-cube ice that's large enough to preserve drink flavors through slow melting. With these features, this model works well for soft drink and cocktail service. It has an air-cooled, self-contained condenser and operates with programmable digital controls. For operator convenience, the unit has a self-cleaning mode and bin overflow protection feature. Made of stainless steel with black trim, it's durable for heavy use and designed to blend in with other equipment.

Like other undercounter ice machines, this MoTak KT-UI-80 commercial undercounter ice maker has a built-in storage bin; designed for low-volume establishments, it has a capacity of 25 pounds. The bin is lined with polyethylene—a smooth material that resists corrosion and streamlines cleaning. An ice scoop is included in the bin for convenient, sanitary ice retrieval. Unlike ice machines that include a drain pump, this gravity-drain model needs to be installed in a location near a kitchen drain; this enables the condensation from the refrigeration process to collect. If a kitchen drain is not accessible in the installation area, then operators should consider a model with a drain pump instead.
