The Town 34734 Mandarin wok has a rounded bottom that's great for intense, high-heat cooking; its extra-deep shape is ideal for chefs to fold ingredients. It's made of carbon steel—a durable material with a lightweight feel. Also made of steel, the handle has crack-resistant reinforcement. To create a nonstick coating and help prevent rusting, the pan should be cleaned and seasoned before use.

Great wok for the price-heavy duty gussetted handle
I received it BEFORE I got the notification to ship. Which is great. Very well built. There are never any pics of under the handle, on these old school steel woks, but this one I had specifically sought out because it has a very nicely welded and heavy duty gusset under the handle. Just installing that is probably half the cost of the wok, but it is very well made. Heavy duty, not nearly as heavy as I thought.
The best wok ever
I have used this wok for years and buy it for gifts to others. It is perfect! I love the proportions and it just gets better with age. Add a ring and it works great on a ceramic top stove. This is now the only wok I'll use.

Good Wok
Great Wok Distributes Heat Evenly it Is Durable Easy To Clean. Make Sure You Season it with Oil On High Heat several times to make it non stick. The Hollow Handle Will Get Hot If Left On Stove. I would Suggest Making a Wood Handle And Insert It in the Wok handle then rivet it in place. It Is Nice and big and deep.
