Though it mimics the look of porcelain, it's made of melamine—durable, BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, and break-resistant plastic. To elevate presentation and shield displayed contents from airborne particulates, it can be used with the transparent GET CO-1290 polycarbonate cover (sold separately).
