Lodge L12DCO3 Description
With an 8-quart capacity, the Lodge® L12DCO3 Dutch oven measures 13 2⁄5 inches in diameter and 8 3⁄5 inches in exterior height, providing ample space for campfire cooking. This black-finished Dutch oven is crafted from seasoned cast iron, delivering even heat distribution and dependable results in outdoor settings. The flanged lid is engraved and designed to hold coals or briquettes and can be flipped for use as a griddle, while the integral wire bail handle accommodates tripod cooking. Three cast-in legs elevate the oven for safe use over open flames. This unit is compatible with campfire, grill, oven, and stovetop settings and is hand wash only.

I use this 28 pound Dutch oven mainly for roasting potatoes outside in a brick oven, but if I had an old fireplace, I'd try baking in it, too.
