Lodge EC7D33 Description
Measuring 12 15⁄16 inches in diameter by 6 7⁄10 inches high, the Lodge EC7D33 Dutch oven offers ample space for large-batch cooking. Its 7 1⁄2-quart capacity suits roasts, stews, or baked dishes. This round piece is made of porcelain enameled cast iron and finished in Caribbean blue on the exterior with a smooth off-white interior that resists sticking and simplifies cleanup. A matching lid with a stainless steel knob traps steam, and the entire unit is safe for oven use up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Can't Beat The Value!
Debated buying Le Creuset or Emile Henry dutch ovens for years; never could get past the price tags. The dutch ovens I purchased from Lodge perform wonderfully. The only real shortcoming,perhaps, is a more limited color palate to choose from. For me, that doesn't justify paying 150%+ more for the pan....
A great alternative to Le Creuset
We have been using our Chefmate 6 qt. dutch oven for two years, with only two complaints: it's too small for big batches of stews, and the enamel has chipped in places. This dutch oven is huge, it has a lovely enamel finnish, and retains heat as well as any other cast iron vessel we've used. It's on the heavy side, but you'll forgive that when you see how it distributes the heat evenly. Le Creuset, eat your heart out!
