Lodge EC3CC43 Description
Designed for use on a variety of range tops, the Lodge EC3CC43 casserole dish is constructed of cast iron with a porcelain enamel finish in island spice red. Additionally, the dish can store leftovers in a refrigerator and enables the contents to be reheated in an oven as hot as 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The casserole dish features a 3 3⁄5-quart capacity and must be washed by hand between uses.

Excellent Piece of Cookware
My wife uses it for braising dishes, the finish is very nice, there were no blemishes evident, and the lid fits well. It is a Lodge so it is no less than what I have come to expect from them. I really can't see what advantage the higher cost brands offer other than being able to say I have a "brand X" and it cost $400. KaTom did an excellent job of shipping it and it arrived several days before Christmas 2020.
I wanted a big one
This is exactly what I wanted. I looked at these for a while. I have something similar, after a while it just didn't stand up to use. I also have my mothers Lodge black cast iron pan, I did recognise the quality. I used this pan earlier tonight not only did I have the room for a harvest hamberger melange (everything in season) plus the meat. The pan performed exactly as I wanted . This was also the best price online for this quality. even the French would be impressed.

Love this pan for small braises and several recipes that start on the stovetop and finish in the oven. Great pan at a great price!!
