Intended to enhance a buffet table's visual appeal, the Tablecraft CW40162 electric chafer has an attractive, polished stainless steel frame. Its two-thirds-size configuration can hold 5 quarts of product. Instead of using Sterno and other fuel options, this chafing dish is heated by a 700-watt electric system. Without traditional fuel, this chafer warms food absent potentially dangerous, exposed flame. The cover has a glass viewing window for product visibility and a slow-close design to reduce noise. A steam vent minimizes condensation buildup and a catch contains any drips to keep surrounding surfaces clean.
