Underneath, a one-piece steel apron adds structure, while the 18-gauge steel pedestal legs lock open to keep the table stable during use. Mar-proof plastic foot caps reduce sliding to protect against scrapes and marks. Strengthened by a masonite backer sheet, its 48-inch-wide by 24-inch-deep by 29-inch-high rectangular top features a premium high-pressure walnut laminate surface mounted on a 3⁄4-inch plywood core.
