This Traulsen TBC1H-20 floor model blast chiller offers a 35-cubic-foot capacity and can chill 300 pounds at a time. Users can access the interior via a left-hinged door, which features cam-lift hinges that help it remain open past 120 degrees for easier stocking and unloading. The exterior and interior are made of impact- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel; the floor is made of the same material and features a ³/₄-inch-thick cork to help preserve cold temperatures. Inside the body is 2-inch-thick polyurethane insulation to contain cold temperatures. For strength and durability, the top, back, and bottom are made of galvanized steel.

The refrigeration system of the Traulsen TBC1H-20 blast chiller is high capacity and top mounted to limit the amount of dust and debris it takes in. The compressor and evaporator direct R448A refrigerant from the front, back, and sides of the body, as the defrost system heats the coils to prevent them from freezing. This unit, with the assistance of EPICON controls, reaches temperatures between 40 to -5 degrees Fahrenheit. Users can choose between four modes—blast chill, speed, energy saving, and delicate—to reduce the temperatures of cooked food. This unit can operate in manual and automatic modes with automatic function taking place with the three included temperature probes. Users should note that this unit is designed to be paired with a remote condenser (sold separately) for blast chilling applications.
