The Summit GCJ536SSTK gas cooktop features a stainless steel surface, matte-finished cast iron continuous grates, and steel-finished circular control knobs for an industrial, contemporary appearance that complements modern kitchens. While its surface resists rust and corrosion, its grates accommodate heavy cookware and let users slide pots or pans onto different burners. So users don't have to reach over hot surfaces, the knobs are mounted on the front. This 36-inch-wide by 21-inch-deep by 2 22⁄25-inch-tall unit can be dropped into a 32 3⁄4-inch-wide by 18 3⁄4-inch-deep cutout with the included stainless steel trim kit for a sleek, cohesive appearance.

Because the Summit GCJ536SSTK cooktop includes five burners with different BTU outputs, users can achieve a wide range of cooking results. The dual-ring burner features a 15,000-BTU burner with a 2,050-BTU inner burner, while the top-right rapid burner outputs 10,000 BTUs to accommodate large dishes. For general cooking, the upper-center and lower-right burners produce 6,000 BTUs, and the bottom-center burner outputs 3,400 BTUs for low-heat ingredients.
