Because all four shelves of the Cambro CBA186084S4580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit are solid, they can accommodate irregularly shaped items while preventing spills from dripping onto other shelves and the floor. The three bottom shelves can support 600 pounds each, while the top shelf has a 400-pound capacity. Overall, this unit shouldn't be loaded with more than 1,800 pounds. When shelves become dirty, they can be removed and cleaned in a dishmachine for thorough sanitization. Camguard® antimicrobial agent is built into the shelf plates' surfaces, inhibiting mold and fungal growth that could cause malodors and unseemly stains.

To fit cramped storage spaces, the Cambro CBA186084S4580 add-on shelving unit can be configured to a preexisting starter unit in L, U, or T shapes, and it includes the necessary hardware—traverses, dovetails, and preassembled post connectors and wedges—for simple attachment. Owing to its polypropylene construction, it resists peeling, scratching, corroding, and rusting. This polymer unit is safe to store in temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can be used in freezers, coolers, and pantries. Its brushed graphite appearance complements the original unit for a uniform look. Two composite posts with leveling feet ensure the add-on unit is stable on irregular surfaces.
