Wow, so this is what it's really for!

Growing up in the 60's and 70's, this was certainly not used as a "cake" spatula in our house. I saw it as a spanking paddle! When one of us six kids got in trouble, we knew mom would be chasing us down the block with this metal weapon in her hand. The other neighbor kids all knew that we were in trouble when they saw mom running wildly after us. Our "spatula" is an original dating back to the 60's. I've kept it all these years for laughs. Who knew it was really meant for baking. I must try it for the right reason now.
