The Dexter S5198PCP Chinese chef knife is designed to easily chop fruits, meats, and vegetables. Since the blade measures 8 inches long by 31⁄4 inches wide, chefs can also smash garlic. For durability and stain resistance, the blade is constructed of a high-carbon steel called DEXSTEEL™. The edge of the blade has been ground and honed for ideal sharpness. The chef knife has a hardwood handle that is secured to the blade with a brass ferrule.
