Winco SCAL-D22 Description
The Winco SCAL-D22 digital portion scale accurately weighs ingredients and displays the measurement on its 2 1⁄2-inch by 1-inch backlit LCD screen with five different unit options. For flexibility, it has a 22-pound capacity; features piece-count, unit, and tare functions; and can be recalibrated to ensure it's providing precise weights. After 3 minutes of inactivity, it automatically shuts off to conserve battery life. When this scale isn't in use, its 6-inch by 6-inch stainless steel platform can be removed and used as a tray during ingredient prep. For a streamlined setup, three AAA batteries and an AC adapter are included.

Died after less than 1.5 years
I use a scale both to feed my animals twice per day, and to make cat food, about once per month. I liked this scale, it was a pretty good product. There are very granular measurements, which I really appreciate. You can use battery or plug the scale in, which is so nice. I only used the plug. When plugged in, it stays on until you turn it off. I comes on promptly when you press the power button. The buttons don't feel very sturdy - as a matter of fact, the whole front panel feels pretty delicate. There were a few dead spots I found, where the scale would not show any change in measurement when in that window. 3.52 ounces to 3.74 ounces was one of the windows for my scale, which didn't matter because I never needed that window. But it did indicate a lack of quality parts. My problem is that this scale completely died less than a year and a half after I purchased it. Luckily I had kept my old scale, which I really don't like, but it does technically work, so I broke that out and use it now until I find another one. Which won't be a Winco brand.
