The machine's built-in storage bin is lighted to enhance visibility and can hold 26 pounds of ice at one time. For optimal cooling, this unit operates using R-134A refrigerant; users can monitor power status, water levels, and cleanliness with the integrated control panel.
The stainless steel cabinet of this Scotsman SCN60PA-1SS ice machine measures 147/8 inches wide by 223⁄4 inches deep by 343/8 inches high and flaunts a self-closing door for thermal retention. For "Sonic Ice" this is the one
"I've owned this ice maker for 3 months now and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I considered purchasing lower priced options in the similar "nugget ice" vein but now that I have it and have compared it to those other manufacturers I'm glad I didn't! The only con is that the drain pump is a little loud but it doesn't run all the time and you eventually don't even notice it. I may try and put sound absorbing material around the outside to see if that helps but honestly it doesn't fire off very often or for very long so it's not an issue. If you're looking for a "Sonic Ice" maker then look no further, save your pennies and buy this one."
