The machine's built-in storage bin is lighted to enhance visibility and can hold 26 pounds of ice at one time. For optimal cooling, this unit operates using R-134A refrigerant; users can monitor power status, water levels, and cleanliness with the integrated control panel.
The stainless steel cabinet of this Scotsman SCN60PA-1SS ice machine measures 14 7⁄8 inches wide by 22 3⁄4 inches deep by 34 3⁄8 inches high and flaunts a self-closing door for thermal retention. It's rated for outdoor use—a great option for outdoor bars and kitchens—and because it has a built-in drain pump, this unit doesn't need to be placed by a floor drain. Working but loud
The ice is good, but the unit can be loud (I am guessing it is the drain pump).
Amazing Icemaker
My family absolutely loves the ice this makes! It really produces ice very quickly from the moment it was first turned on. It really is quality sonic ice that is soft and easy to chew. We had the U-Line nugget maker before this but it didn't last more than 1 year and did not produce this type of ice. It's definitely worth the price for this type of nugget ice.
Absolutely this is a very well-made and designed icemaker
Excellent I've had mine for five years. I do highly recommend Reverse osmosis water. The last ice machine lasted over 20 years. The key is the water quality.
Scotsman nugget icemaker
We ordered online from KaTom. They were professional and extremely helpful. They delivered exactly as they said they would and on time. Other companies could not get this icemaker for three to four months because of supply chains. We very much are enjoying the ice and find the ice maker an excellent choice. While KaTom was priced at a good price, Scotsman nugget ice makers are quite pricey.
For "Sonic Ice" this is the one
I've owned this ice maker for 3 months now and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I considered purchasing lower priced options in the similar "nugget ice" vein but now that I have it and have compared it to those other manufacturers I'm glad I didn't! The only con is that the drain pump is a little loud but it doesn't run all the time and you eventually don't even notice it. I may try and put sound absorbing material around the outside to see if that helps but honestly it doesn't fire off very often or for very long so it's not an issue. If you're looking for a "Sonic Ice" maker then look no further, save your pennies and buy this one.
