The Scotsman SCCP50MB-1SS Brilliance™ ice maker has a built-in storage capacity of 26 pounds, and for optimal visibility while scooping it boasts a lighted interior. To optimize performance and maintain ice clarity, its water quality sensor monitors inlet water, while its control system purges hard water with every harvest cycle; the resulting ice is odorless, flavorless, and slow melting. Ice is produced at a rate of 65 pounds per day when ambient temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and water temperature is 50 degrees Fahrenheit. For routine maintenance, this unit's control panel displays cleaning reminders, power status readouts, and low-water alerts.
Designed for long-lasting use in residential settings, the Scotsman SCCP50MB-1SS air-cooled ice machine's cabinet and front are made of heavy-duty stainless steel. Its self-closing door preserves cold air, and for efficient cooling, the unit operates with R-134A refrigerant. To enable installation without a nearby floor drain, this unit is equipped with a drain pump. It measures 147/8 inches wide by 22 inches deep by 343/8 inches high and is suitable for undercounter configurations.

"The fact that this is not a freezer is perfect. The ice is the freshest that ice can get, versus refrigerated ice which can get stale over time. Nicely engineered machine also. Ice bin can be filled within a few hours. Enjoy it"

Not a freezer - Ice melts
"Something I didn't understand prior to use is that this is not a freezer. As such the ice melts shortly after being made. The technician that came to investigate said most of his customers turn it on before a party rather than having ice at the ready all of the time. I wish that fact was somewhere in their documentation or on this site so i could have been better informed. Right now there is a big clump of semi-than ice in the bin."
