The Scotsman SCCG50MB-1SU air-cooled ice machine's storage bin boasts a capacity of 26 pounds and is illuminated for quick ice retrieval. Over 24 hours in ideal conditions, it can produce 65 pounds of slow-melting gourmet cubes that are odorless and flavorless; these cubes measure 1-inch by 1 1⁄8-inch by 1 1⁄4-inch for use in straight spirits and stirred cocktails. To maintain ice quality, the machine's hard water sensor and control system detect and purge mineral-laden water with every harvest cycle. So users can monitor the unit with ease, this unit's control panel displays power status, observes water levels, and provides cleaning reminders.
Built to withstand corrosion, dents, and scratches, the Scotsman SCCG50MB-1SU ice machine is constructed of stainless steel. Its front is unfinished, and for seamless integration into undercounter cabinets, it can be fit with custom wood paneling that must be purchased separately. To remove condensation and water for cleaning, it features a gravity drain system, and because it doesn't have a pump, it should be installed directly near a floor drain. Overall, this compact unit measures 14 7⁄8 inches wide by 22 inches deep by 34 3⁄8 inches high.
