Scotsman CU0415MAX-1 Description
Within a 24-hour period, the Scotsman CU0415MAX-1 undercounter ice machine can produce 58 pounds of full-cube ice if the ambient air temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and incoming water temperature is 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Full-cube ice complements most drinks at restaurants or bars, forming in the evaporator plate when the refrigerant is cooled by air-cooled motor fans. These large cubes are ideal for cocktails and other bar drinks due to their slow-melting quality, and because they’re not chewable, they’ll last even longer in the drink to reduce refill needs. Designed to produce crystal-clear ice cubes, the spray jet moves water over the evaporator to remove minerals before they freeze.
Simple to control for all employees, the intuitive control panel has a prominent on/off/clean switch and visible buttons for ice thickness and harvest adjustments. The built-in storage bin can hold 36 pounds of ice and includes a large, dishwasher-safe scoop. Because the bin door slides back, it offers convenient access without impeding scooping or taking up space in the aisle. The exterior resists corrosion, adding durability while maintaining a professional look. With its 15-inch width, the Scotsman CU0415MAX-1 undercounter ice maker fits in tight spaces without sacrificing daily production or storage capacity. The size and production is ideal for restaurants and bars, coffee shops and cafes, and offices and break rooms.

Constant issues
In 3 years, we have surpassed the purchase price in repairs. Every repair involves a call to Scotsman and some sort of MacGuyver fix with zip ties or other odd hacks to keep it running. Until it doesn't run again. Which takes place quickly and often. To top it off, when it does work, it halfway works. I have never, not once, seen a full bin of ice. This machine has been relegated to providing ice here and there for employees drinks.
