Hatco FR-3B Description
To ensure food rethermalizers and bain maries reach safe temperatures for reheating frozen or refrigerated foods, this Hatco FR-3B bain marie heater can be attached to a unit's holding vessel or sink to supply hot water. The heating compartment's submerged heating element maximizes heat transfer, and operators can use the water temperature control to adjust temperatures between 140 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit. When water reaches the set temperature, a correlating indicator light glows, and to avoid cool spots, water circulates continuously. If water temperatures rise unexpectedly, this unit shuts off automatically to prevent damage.
The Hatco FR-3B food rethermalizer heater measures 9 inches wide by 171/8 inches deep by 121/4 inches high and can be installed beneath a bain marie as long as 6 feet. Its 2-inch plated brass plumbing fitting mounts into a holding tank, and for efficiency, incoming water with more than 3 grains of hardness per gallon (GPG) should be treated and softened before use. This heater's stainless steel front resists rust and corrosion, while its silver-gray hammertone body and black base are durable enough to withstand daily use. To simplify cleanup, this dual-reservoir unit's sump collects soil.
