Very Secure!
These would be great to add another layer of protection, keeping your kids safe from your kitchen knives. The closing mechanism is very sturdy and probably couldn't be finagled by kid's hands, nor would I expect it would pop open unintentionally. The rubber inside keeps everything secure, so you don't have to worry about the sheath being too big for your blade. All in all, these guards definitely exceeded my expectations.
