Terrible Design - A huge disappointment
Seeing the Victorinox brand I thought that these peelers would be great and bought them. These were a huge disappointment !!! Terribly design. A good peeler should have a sharp blade and a proper angle of contact so that the peeling feedback is smooth, effortless, consistent and efficient (should peel just a fine layer of the skin consistently rather than take out thicker chunks or miss spots). There should be minimal jittery resistance or missed spots. This peeler was exactly opposite of that. There is no guidance or support from the peeler at all to hold or maintain the proper angle. 1) Too small. 2) The blade angle is not well set and one has to adjust the angle by tilting the wrist and hold a very precise position in order to peel anything at all. There is no guidance or support from the peeler at all to hold or maintain the proper angle. 3) The feel while peeling is very bad - mostly either gets stuck, or misses (does not peel) Trying to peel with this is a nightmare. Leaves you with an achy wrist and unpeeled produce. Absolutely uncharacteristic of the Victorinox brand which is known to create high quality, precision engineered products.
