Founded in 1924, Chasseur cookware is handcrafted in the French Ardennes by individually sand casting each piece to ensure every item is unique. Chasseur cast iron is coated with a layer of enamel, which prevents food from sticking to the cookware and keeps iron out of the food—something that can occur when using traditional cast iron. The enamel also protects the cookware from rusting, adding durability and longevity to each piece.

Chasseur cast iron cookware is available in several different styles of casserole, baking, and serving dishes. Some of the cookware is round or oval shaped, which is ideal for roasting and stewing, while others are rectangular – great for lasagnas or casseroles. Chasseur cookware comes in red and black and may have a lid to contain the food's moisture and warmth. These dishes can hold anywhere from 12 ounces to roughly 7 quarts of food.
