Stemmed Beer Glasses
The design of stemmed beer glasses enhances any craft brew, optimizing flavors and aromas while beautifully showcasing the liquid inside. Our selection of stemmed beer glasses includes options for multiple serving sizes in addition to standard 12-ounce pours.
If you offer even just a few craft brews, stemmed beer glasses are a worthwhile investment, especially for high-gravity options. The purpose of stemmed beer glasses is to keep the user's hand from holding the bowl of the glass, which can warm up beer and change the flavors and aromas. While this isn't a huge concern for casual beer drinkers, a guest dedicating their time to craft brews will want to savor the complexities.
Stemmed glassware comes in a large range of capacities, from as little as 10 ounces to upwards of 22 ounces. Though the stem separates them from traditional serving options, stemmed beer glasses can be further broken down into the tulip beer glass and the snifter beer glass.
The tulip beer glass is shaped like its namesake flower, with a thin, flared rim and a wide, rounded bottom. Tulip glasses are an excellent choice for aromatic, hoppy beers like IPAs, as the design pushes aromas to the top of the glass with each sip. The snifter is commonly associated with spirits like brandy, and the design functions much the same for beer. Shorter and rounder than the tulip, the snifter beer glass usually has a smaller capacity and encourages swirling the beverage while the glass is being held, making the snifter ideal for small pours of high-ABV beers.
