HVAC Air Purifiers
Commercial air purifiers work with your existing air circulation equipment to ionize and neutralize mold, bacteria, and viruses. We also carry portable air purifiers that remove allergens and bad smells from the air in a given room.
Commercial Air Purifiers: What You Need to Know
Whole-home air purifiers connect with your existing HVAC system to cleanse your air of contaminants, allergens, and smoke. The right HVAC air purifier can provide these benefits every day without you needing to take any action. Our self-cleaning models are wonderful for busy business operators who don't want to spend extra time maintaining a new piece of equipment. With universal mounting kits and magnetic attachments, a whole-home air purifier can be installed quickly and is easy to maintain.
We also have various portable air purifiers that utilize HEPA filtration to clean the air in spaces as you need them. The portable models are great for intermittent use in restaurant dining rooms, boardrooms, and catering spaces. We carry portable air purifiers in multiple sizes so you can find one that fits whatever size room you have.
Common Questions About Air Purifiers
What are air purifiers good for?
We carry two styles of air purifier: whole home and portable. Our whole-home air purifiers use needle-point ionization to clean the air that passes through them, ionizing particles floating through the air. This ionization generates a type of static electricity that encourages the particles to stick to surfaces instead of continuing to circulate through the air. Ionization can also deactivate viruses and kill bacteria, making your air safer than it would be otherwise. HVAC air purifiers are installed in conjunction with your existing HVAC system and purify air as it runs through the ducts. Each unit is rated to handle a specific tonnage of air passing through, so buyers should compare that capacity with the capacity of their HVAC unit before making a purchase to ensure the air purifier can keep up.
On the other hand, portable air purifiers aren't attached to your HVAC unit and instead purify the air in whichever space you place them. These smaller units often use filtration instead of ionization to clean the air around them. HEPA filtration, or High Efficiency Particulate Air filtration, is a standard of filtration that ensures nearly all particulates of a certain size are removed from the air that circulates through the filter. Consult the product specification page for the individual air purifier to see what level of filtration it provides.
Do air purifiers work with air conditioning?
Our HVAC air purifiers are intended to work with your existing air conditioning. Both residential and commercial air conditioning systems can benefit from one of our powerful air purifiers. As an additional benefit, most of our air purifiers feature a self-cleaning function that reduces the overall need for maintenance. The less you have to think about your air purifier, the more time you can put into the facets of business and life that really matter.
Should you leave your air purifier on all the time?
Leaving your air purifier running overnight may increase the total amount of air that gets purified by the machine, but unless you're living in a vacuum-sealed space, there will always be new, unpurified air getting in. Many operators prefer leaving their purifier running at all hours to get the most functionality possible out of them. These air purifiers are small and use relatively little electricity to operate, so letting them run all the time isn't going to produce a very noticeable increase in your overall utility bill.
