Its mahogany-colored, high-pressure laminate provides a neutral, down-to-earth backdrop that attractively contrasts its black powder-coated frame. A 16-gauge, 3-inch-thick pole is connected to the 8-gauge steel base with a heavy-duty bolt and thread locker, while a 12-gauge support plate is fully welded to the top of the base for additional durability. To stabilize the unit and minimize scratches and scuffs to the floor, the X-base legs are positioned on ¹⁄₂-inch-thick polypropylene mushroom leveling glides.
