Excellence Industries HBD-12HC Description

The Excellence Industries HBD-12HC ice cream dipping cabinet uses a cold-wall evaporator system to efficiently cool ice cream with refrigerant lines running in the walls. These lines have R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, which is more eco-friendly than traditional options. This unit holds displayed product at temperatures between -15 and 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

As many as (22) 3-gallon tubs fit in this Excellence Industries HBD-12HC ice cream dipping cabinet. It has a display section that holds 12 cans, and a storage area with space for 10 additional cans. Tub holders keep the cans in place, preventing them from sliding around while users are scooping. This cabinet has LED lighting to enhance the presentation of ice cream flavors through the single-layer glass lids. Ice cream cups, cones, and other merchandise can be placed on the shelf in the window.

Bought 2 and over a year old , no issues! Would buy another!

Have had 2 units in my ice cream store for over a year now and have not had to adjust anything, no complaints, Only issue is the the baskets that hold the tubs do stretch out and fall off the rails.

Do not buy if you make your own produt!

This is advertised as holding 22 3 gallon tubs, 12 on top and 10 on bottom. Per the manufacturer it only works with the cardboard tubs ie: Hershey's. If you make your own product and use the plastic "Ropak" type containers you can not use the baskets. This means you can not scoop with one hand, as you will need to hold the bucket steady with the other hand. If that was stated on the website I would have looked else ware. That was the first huge disappointment. The next is the thermostat was EXTREMELY difficult to dial in to the correct temperature. Need to make adjustments in tiny tiny steps and took almost 4 days to figure that out and get it right. Most likely due to the complete lack of documentation. And one more thing the glass sliding tops have some sort of glue strip with paper backing on the edges that needs to be peeled off before use. Did not realize this until little bits of the paper was accumulating along the edge and falling into the tum of ice cream. Again, some documentation could have prevented this. The only good thing I have to say is they have a good compressor warranty with 5 yrs. so we will have to see how long they last
