Carter-Hoffmann GARDENCHEF STARTER KIT Description
Designed to be used with a GardenChef growing cabinet, the Carter-Hoffmann GARDENCHEF STARTER KIT streamlines unit setup so operators can start growing herbs and microgreens. Mats are included to nest inside the 10-inch by 20-inch growing trays, keeping soil from running out of the trays and into the water. Thicker mats, which must be purchased separately, can be used for hydroponic growing—a method of growing plants without using soil.
With the Carter-Hoffmann GARDENCHEF STARTER KIT's humidity domes, growers can increase the temperature and humidity around the plants to enhance germination. When the seeds start to sprout, these propagation domes can be removed. This kit also comes with a sifter for spreading dry soil over the seeds for germination, pH and TDS kits for calibrating the probes, and a 20-gallon plastic mixing and sifting tub. Hydrogen peroxide is included for cleaning and a measuring syringe for adding nutrients.
